L'orto degli incontri - Some new friends

(italiano - english)

Buongiorno a tutti!

Good morning! :) Today will be another warm and beautiful day, at 7.30AM we had 25.3°C outside (shadow) and we expect 32°C next. I think this year the temperature are not hotter than last year, but the umidity has increased, so that we sweat also by doing nothing! Yesterday we put the new little pool in the garden (so refreshing!) and we met three new friends: the first one is a caterpillar of an Old World Swallowtail (Papilio Machaon)as you can see in picture one (by me on a fennel) and as a butterfly in the picture taken from the web. Next friends are a giant grasshopper or locust, that I find disgusting (she was laying her eggs in our vegetable garden), and a spider that in italian we call "cross spider" because of the white cross it has on the back. I HATE SPIDER! The little new born spiders we saw in springs are now indipensent (hehe) and they do their spider webs everywhere, so better walk with closed mouth... ;) hehehe I hope that the grasshoppers will not eat all our vegetables, or I will become a "grasshoppers killer"!
